I had this little exchange with a new customer this morning. Before I start to tune I always ask:
“When was the last time your piano was tuned?”
“About a year ago.” she answered. “I’ve always used [REDACTED] but I think he’s moved, or changed his number.”
“Oh! I haven’t heard of him before!”
“Well, he’s not as famous as you.”
